Krystal Knight is an award-winning director and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from North Carolina, she brings over 15 years of experience in television, digital content, and live entertainment. Launching her career at BET Networks/Viacom, Krystal worked as an Associate Producer for shows like The Soul Train Awards and Centric Live: Fantasia.  She later pivoted into live variety television, serving as a script supervisor and coordinator on various award shows, specials, and events including NBA All-Star, GLAAD Awards, Kennedy Center Honors (CBS), The Tony Awards (CBS), The GRAMMYS (CBS), Oscars Red Carpet Pre-Show (ABC), Emmy Award-winning Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert (NBC) and most recently as 2nd production supervisor for Beyoncé 2024 NFL Halftime Show (Netflix).  

 

In an effort to deepen her focus on directing, Knight lent her talents to Condé Nast, producing and directing content across Allure, Glamour, and GQ brands.  Through her boutique production company, aKnightVision, she also directed and creative produced unscripted projects for clients including, The Recording Academy, EBONY, and Essence Magazine.

 

Beyond her love of live television and music-centered projects, Krystal’s passion for storytelling is reflected in her independent work as well. In 2021, she created SHEFILES, an original docuseries spotlighting the entrepreneurial journeys of women of color, earning her two Telly Awards.  In 2023, she made her narrative directorial debut, which only fueled her desire to move deeper into film.  Inspired by her experiences of working in entertainment, The Debt marks Krystal’s first attempt at writing and directing her own film project.  The short was an Official Selection in the 2025 Micheaux Film Festival, and screened in-person and virtually.

 

Knight continues to deepen her directing and producing work, infusing each project with her vision and unique creativity.
